Company Policy

Koch Specialty Plant Services, Inc., (KSPS) manages its business in a manner that protects the environment and the health and safety of employees, customers, contractors and the public.  KSPS works to fully comply with all applicable laws and regulations and we strive to continuously improve our environmental, health and safety performance.  KSPS strong safety performance has earned the company Voluntary Protection Program STAR status in the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Programs, Mobile Workforce Demonstration for Construction.  

Guiding Principles

• All employees must create a culture of accident and injury elimination by proactively assisting in the recognition and mitigation of workplace hazards.
• As a company, we can effectively learn and create knowledge by thoroughly investigating all injuries, illnesses and near misses.
• On-the-job safety is as important as at-home safety.

Behavioral Based Safety Program

KSPS has developed its own unique safety-based behavioral observation program – P.A.C.E. (Personnel, Accountability, Culture and Enforcement). Implemented in 2004, P.A.C.E. has become an integral part of our safety culture because it actively involves ALL KSPS personnel in the safety process through participation in random yet structured observations focused on safety behavior. The result is an employee-driven safety culture that strives for accountability and does not tolerate unsafe behavior.
