Overview

One Tower. One Team. One Tight Timeline.

North America

To install a 190-foot tall, 46-foot diameter vacuum tower weighing over 840 tons, KSPS employed an industry-first modular construction strategy. Components were fabricated offsite and transported via barge for final assembly within constrained pipe racks. This allowed successful execution within space and logistical limits—demonstrating KSPS’s adaptability and engineering foresight.

Scope of work:
  • Modular field fabrication in constrained environment
  • 840-ton vessel with high-alloy internals
  • Seamless transport and fit-up using innovative can-section design
  • Extensive pre-fabrication on the gulf coast with barge logistics
  • 400 tons of Koch-Glitsch internals, including C-276 alloy components
  • Hydrotesting required 5.15 million liters of water, total test weight 7,000 tons
